According to the Addis Ababa City Administration Education Bureau, the results show a significant improvement compared to the past four years.
Here are the detailed statistics for students who scored 50% and above over the years:
- 2013 E.C.: 55.12%
- 2014 E.C.: 63.90%
- 2015 E.C.: 70.60%
- 2016 E.C.: 78.90%
In the 2016 E.C. exam, 85,219 students from both government and private schools, who attended both day and evening classes, took the exam. Among them, 67,903 students, or 78.9%, scored 50% and above. This shows a significant improvement of 23.78% compared to the 2013 E.C. results.
